The area of electronic media applied to art. The multiple intersections among art, technology and other issues for example: fashion and mass consumption; mediated communication, hypertext, new types of narrative, body, prosthesis and cyborgs; progress, subject, and identity; power, control, and surveillance; accident, velocity, and obsolescence; war error, and destruction, information and culture; design of physical interfaces.
